ROUND 3: VANCOUVER CANUCKS VS. SAN JOSE SHARKS

Game 1, Round 3:

Vancouver won the first game of the series 3-2. Thorton from San Jose scored the first goal of the game which was led by a goal by Lapierre followed up by San Jose's 2nd and last goal of the game, scored by Marleau. Third period consisted of two goals, both by Canucks - Kevin Bieksa and Henrik Sedin.

Game 2, Round 3:

The second game Canucks also won, 7-3 on home ice. Again, San Jose scored the first goal ( by Couture). The second goal was scored by Canucks' D. Sedin and the third only 40 seconds later, by Torres. Marleau scored San Jose's second goal and the final of the first period. In second period, Bieksa of Vancouver Canucks scored the third Canuck goal, just 3 minutes into the period. During third period, Vancouver really stepped up and scored four more goals. Goals by Higgins, D. Sedin, Rome, and Raymond. After Canucks 7th and final goal of the game, Eager of San Jose scored their third goal.

Game 3, Round 3:

In game three, Vancouver lost 4-3. During first period San Jose scored 3 goals ( by Marleau, Clowe and a second by Marleau). San Jose held the 3-0 lead through out the hole second period. A little over a minute into the third period Burrows scored a goal for Vancouver, which was followed by a San Jose goal. The last two goals were for Vancouver which were scored by Hamhuis and Bieksa.

Game 4, Round 3:

Game four, Vancouver wins 4-2 in San Jose. The first period consisted of 4 penalties for Vancouver, no goals. In second period the first goal of the game was scored by Ryan Kesler 9 minutes into the period. The next two goals were by Salo, of Vancouver. In third period, Burrows made the 4th and final goal for the Canucks which was followed by 2 goals for San Jose.

Game 5, Round 4:

Game five was a bit more intense. If Vancouver won they would win their 4th and final game of the series and continue onto the cup, if San Jose won, they had another shot to beat Vancouver and continue the fight to the finals. First period, Burrows started the game off with a goal, 8 minutes into the game. The rest of first period consisted of 2 penalties for Vancouver. Second period started with a penalty for Kevin Bieksa of Vancouver, 9 minutes into the game for Hi- sticking. Boyle of San Jose scored on the PP. The rest of the period consisted of 2 more penalties. One against San Jose and one against Vancouver. Third period consisted of 2 goals. The first which put San Jose in the lead 2-1, 24 seconds into the period. And the final goal of the third period which tied the game, by Ryan Kesler with 14 seconds left in the game. Kesler's goal sent the game into overtime. First overtime no goals were scored and no penalties were called, sending the game into a double overtime. 10 minutes into the second overtime Kevin Bieksa scored the tie breaking goal, winning the series and kicking San Jose out of the Playoffs.

For the first time since 1994 Vancouver Cancucks make the Stanley Cup finals.

ROUND 2 : VANCOUVER CANUCKS VS. NASHVILLE PREDATORS

During Round 2 Vancouver played the Nashville predators. Winning the second round would be a big accomplishment because the Canucks had not made it past the second round in many years. They had a good start to the Series by winning the first game with a shut out, 1-0, the only goal being scored by Chris Higgins. Game two Vancouver lost 2-1. Third and fourth games Vancouver won 3-2 and 4-2. Leading the series 3-1 Vancouver then lost the 5th game of the series, but won the series in Nashville 2-1.

Round 1 - VANCOUVER CANUCKS VS CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS.

To start the playoffs, Vancouver Canucks played the Chicago Blackhawks. This was a challenge because Vancouver and Chicago are very well matched teams. Also, Vancouver often had trouble with Chicago and it seemed as though Vancouver had a mental issues with Chicago, they were "in their heads". Regardless, this is how the series went.

Game 1 - Consisted of 2 goals scored in the first period, first by Higgins, second by Hansen. Canucks won with a shut out.
Game 2 - More exciting game ended with a 4-3 win for Canucks. Goals by Hansen , D. Sedin, Edler,        and the fourth by D. Sedin.
Game 3 - Also an exciting game, first goal scored by Keith of Chicago Blackhawks in the first period. In second period Canucks followed up with two goals scored by Ehrhoff and D.Sedin. Near the end of second period Sharp from Chicago Blackhawks ties up the game. 6 minutes into the third period, Samuelsson of Vancouver Canucks scores the tie breaking goal.  Canucks win 3-2 in Chicago.
After winning 3 games, Canucks needed to win game 4 in order to kick Chicago out of the playoffs. Losing 3 games in a row, people beaked about the team saying it was Luongo's famous " choke" in the end the boys came through in game 7 and won in overtime.
Game 7 - Burrows scores 2 minutes into the first period. Period three, Toews of Chicago scores 18 minutes into the period. In overtime, Burrows scores game goal with a slap shot.

Season

During the 2010/2011, the Canucks lead the NHL league through out the season. With top players, Daniel Sedin, with 63 assists and 41 goals. Henrik Sedin with 75 assists and 19 goals. Ryan Kesler, 32 assists and 41 goals. The trio are very important part of the team. As well as Goalie, Roberto Luongo, with 1753 saves against and only 126 goals against. Canucks ended the season in first place of the NHL, giving them home advantage during playoff games. ( 2 home, 2 away, 1 home, 1 away, 1 home). First round Canucks played their mental rivalry, Chicago Black Hawks.
